i finally have a moment of peace to update you guys. it seems that justin has done a great job posting the pics so i'll just write a few words. ummm .... long story short ... i started active labor probably around 7am this morning. at 815ish, i was at 5cm and having pretty good contractions, but they were tolerable. much to everyone's surprise, i was at 10cm a mere 5 minutes later. the pain was horrible but the good part was that i only had to push through one contraction and passed what felt like the biggest poop in history. then all was fine!

my OB never made it to the room. the poor residents had to take care of me and justin was very brave to stand so close to me while i was in all that pain.

macey came out looking just like her sisters. her lungs are even better developed. she definitely has an opinion and screams with authority! she nursed with me right away and i'm happy to say, latched on within seconds and has been nursing away ever since (almost a little too frequently). they've got her all washed up and smelling nice, just the way i like babies.

i hope that justin has the pleasure of finding her first black tar poo as she has not passed it yet.

the docs have me on all sorts of meds to keep my bleeding under control. i have yet to faint and have made it to the bathroom numerous times without issue (unlike the previous deliveries). ok, off to get some rest. more soon.
