So...It's Been a Little While

Day to Day

We haven't been on here much lately, updating and such. I thought I'd recap what we've been up to:

The kids - Colby's set to start kindergarten in the fall. Her name was drawn from the hat at the lottery, which allows her entrance into the Remington Traditional School, which is a part of the Pattonville school district where we live. We're excited about that. Colby also started taking piano lessons at the beginning of March. So far, it seems quite easy for her. Steady practice has seen her progress nicely through her first book, and she's really enjoying it.
Peyton will have one more year of pre-school before she heads off to Remington (siblings get automatic entry into the school). She's a pistol, and as funny as ever.
Macey started crawling a couple of weeks ago, which she likes to do. She's about as happy and content as any kid I've seen. She only complains when she's tired, hungry, or has been hurt, most likely by misjudging the distance between herself and whatever thing she's reaching toward for support. This generally results in a face plant. She doesn't like those.

The bigs - Cat and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary this year (April 1st, no kidding). We're still very much in love and are the best of friends.
Cat's latest obsession is her super cool cell phone, which she has modified time after time with various add-on software.
My latest (and continuing) interest is a return to board games. When I was a kid, I used to really enjoy playing board games, particularly Axis & Allies. While that particular game doesn't hold much appeal for me any longer, I've found a bunch of new ones that I really love to play, read about, study, etc. My current favorite game overall is Combat Commander: Europe (and expansions).

That's it for now. Thanks for reading.
